Monitor SIP Publish VQ Data Configuration

The probe can be configured to monitor SIP Publish voice quality data using TCP and TLS.

This configuration requires the following steps:

Generate a certificate file.

Upload the certificate and private key to the probe

Configure the probe to use TCP

Generate a Certificate File

1.  From the phone, generate a certificate file and a private key file.

2.  Optionally, encrypt the private key with a password.

3.  If the certificate is self-signed, add the certificate to the phone’s truststore.

Refer to the phone’s documentation for additional information.

Upload the Certificate and Private Key

1.   In Mitel Performance Analytics, navigate to the probe’s dashboard.

2.   From the probe’s dashboard, select TLS Certificate Upload from the Network Tools menu.

3.  Upload the certificate file, private key file, and a private key password if required.

Configure the Probe to Use TCP

1.   In Mitel Performance Analytics, navigate to the probe’s dashboard.

2.   From the probe’s dashboard, select Probe Settings under the System Administration menu.

3.   In the Probe Settings page, under SIP Publish Voice Quality, set the Protocol to TCP.

Note: This feature is not supported for Windows probes.

The probe continually monitors the certificate. 30 days before the certificate expires, an alarm is raised in the probe's Alarm dashboard panel. The alarm can only be cleared by uploading a new TLS certificate.
