Configuring Filter Profiles
To create a new alarm filter profile, complete the following steps:
1. From a container dashboard, select Filter Profiles under the System Tools menu.
The Filter Profiles window is displayed.
Note: You can also configure a filter profile directly from an Alert Profile. Click the Edit/Create Filters button from the Alert Profile configuration page.
2. Click the Add Filter button to display the filter properties.
3. Specify the properties for the new filter.
Name: Type a descriptive name for the filter.
Container: Start typing the container name to which the filter applies, including all child containers and devices. The system will auto search and return corresponding container names. If you are creating a new filter profile from an alert profile, the container name defaults to the container to which the alert profile pertains and cannot be changed.
Content Filter: Select one of the following text based filter options, and type the text to use. To add more than one text filter, click the + icon. To remove a content filter, click the - icon beside the filter.
Text contains: The filter will consider the specified text.
Text does not contain: The filter does not consider the specified text.
Note: You can click the + icon to add additional content filters.
Severity: Select an alarm severity from the list.
Labels: Select one of the following label options:
All Labels: All alarm labels are considered.
Select: Select the specific alarm labels to which the filter will apply from the list of available labels. Use Ctrl + Click to select more than one label.
Device Types: Select one of the following device type options.
All device types: All device types are considered.
Select: Select the specific devices to filter on from the list of available devices. Use Ctrl + Click to select more than one device.
4. Click the Save button.
A user created filter can be deleted, only if it is not associated to an Alert Profile. To delete a filter, select the filter from the carousel and click the trash can icon.
