Performing an On-Demand Backup for MSL Based Devices
To run an on-demand backup for versions of MiVoice Business, MiVoice Border Gateway, or MiCollab running on Mitel Standard Linux, do the following steps:
1. Access the dashboard for the specific device that you want to backup.
2. Select Backup under the System Tools menu.
3. (Optional) To use an external server, select Use external FTP server:
Select the protocol from the dropdown list. You can use the following protocols: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol), FTP (File Transfer Protocol), or FTPS (Secure File Transfer Protocol). Both implicit and explicit FTPS are supported.
Supply the URL to the server.
Supply the credentials to access the server
Supply the port to use.
4. From the On Demand Backup panel, click Start Backup.
The On Demand Backup panel displays the operation progress.
Once the operation completes, the On Demand Backup panel displays whether or not the backup was successful, along with a link to download the backup file.
Note: Mitel Standard Linux version 11.0.80 or higher is required to back up MiVoice Business, MiCollab, and MiVoice Border Gateway MSL based devices.
