Retrieving Scheduled Backup Files

Use the Recent Results query or the Completed Files query to retrieve scheduled backup files.

Note: This procedure is not applicable for Mitel Flex K8s Cluster devices. See "Viewing and Restoring Flex K8s Backup Files".

Do the following:

1.  Select Backup Results under the Network Data menu on the main Mitel Performance Analytics menu.

2.  If you selected the query from a container, choose the Latest Backup Files query, the Managed Backup Files query, or the External Backup Files query.

If you selected the query from a device, choose the All Backup Activity query or the All Backup Files query.

3.  Locate the scheduled backup file of interest. Click the Download link or External Link button to download the file to your local computer.

Mitel Performance Analytics retains the twelve most recent backup files. Any non-external backup files beyond twelve are automatically removed, excepting any locked files.

Backup File Name Convention

The name of the backup file depends on the device type. Mitel Performance Analytics uses the following conventions:

MiVoice Business devices: backup_<DeviceType><DeviceGUID><TimeStampCreated>.tar

All other devices: <DeviceType><DeviceGUID><TimeStampCreated>.<Ext>

where:

<DeviceType> is the Mitel Performance Analytics device type.

<DeviceGUID> is the GUID of the device.

The timestamp is the UTC time with the format: yyyy-MM-ddTHH-mm-ssZ.
The timestamp is the time at the beginning of backup preparation.

The file extension <ext> is one of the following: .zip, .tar, .tgz

Note: MSL device backup files must have a .tgz file extension. If the MSL device backup file has a different extension, like '.backup', manually change the extension to .tgz before restoring the backup to the device.

The following is an example:

backup_MCD_939de843-3e77-4b06-bd92-ed772cc7a618_2016-06-14T08-00-00Z.tar

In the previous example the file is a backup file for a MiVoice Business call server with 939de843-3e77-4b06-bd92-ed772cc7a618 as a GUID; starting 2016, June 14th, 08:00:00 UTC.
