Connecting to an MSL Based Device Using Server Manager

MSL based devices can be deployed on the same virtual server instance and therefore have the same IP addresses and managed by the same probe. In order to access the correct MSL device, use the Server Manager protocol, instead of HTTPS.

MSL based devices are installed on MSL version 11.0.80 or higher and include:

MiVoice Border Gateway version 11.2 and higher

MiCollab version 9.3 and higher

MiVoice Business 9.2 and higher

To use Mitel Performance Analytics Remote Access to connect to an MSL based device using the Server Manager protocol, do the following steps:

1.  Access the dashboard for the device you want to connect to.

2.  From the Remote Access Port Forwards panel, select Server Manager from the protocol dropdown list.

3.  Click on the Create button to create a port. The Remote Access Port Forwards panel updates. The various table columns are populated.

4.  Click on the Open link to open a web browser to manage the device.

The browser opens to the web page for the device's server manager.
