Configuring Two-Factor Authentication For Your User Account
You can setup and enforce two-factor authentication on your own Mitel Performance Analytics account. Also, if a system administrator enforces 2FA on a container that you belong to, you must setup 2FA on your account.
Important: Before you begin, download one of the following mobile applications to your Android or iOS mobile device: Google Authenticator, Authy, or Duo Mobile. An authentication application is required to generate the security codes necessary to log in using 2FA.
To setup and enforce 2FA on your account, do the following:
1. Select Users Setting from the User menu icon.
2. In the Two-Factor Authentication panel, click Setup.
3. A list of Recovery Codes is displayed. Record these codes and click Next.
As part of the 2FA login procedure, if you cannot generate a login passcode you can use one of these ten randomly generated Recovery Codes instead
4. Click OK on the confirmation message pop-up window.
5. Using one of the authentication applications that you downloaded to your mobile device, scan the QR barcode displayed on the screen.
6. In the Generated Code field, type the 6-digit security code generated by your mobile application and click Enable.
2FA is now enabled for your account. When you log in to Mitel Performance Analytics, you are prompted to enter a passcode that is generated by your mobile authentication application. See "Step 1 - Initial Log in".
