Configuring Device Upgrade Notification Alarms
Use this procedure to configure notification alarms that are displayed in the Alarms dashboard panel when new devices versions are available and when an upcoming scheduled upgrade does not have a completed pre-upgrade checklist. the alarms are enabled and configured by default at the Mitel Performance Analytics root container, which can be edited as required. The MSL devices inherit the alarm notification settings from the root container. However, if a different alarm notification configuration is required for a lower level container, then all of the relevant devices in that container and its subcontainers will use the updated settings.
1. Select System Administration > Device Upgrades from a container.
2. On the Device Upgrade Settings dialog, click the Alarming tab:

Enable this option to receive a notification when new versions of the device are available for upgrade, then click Save, to save the change, or Save and Quit to save and close the dialog window. By default, this option is enabled on the root container and is inherited by child containers. If you disable this option in a child container, then all of its subcontainers inherit the updated setting. |
Incomplete Pre-Upgrade Checklist Alarming Threshold |
Enable and configure the number of days before the scheduled upgrade occurs for Warning, Minor, and Major alarms to best fit your business requirements. These alarms are displayed in the Alarms dashboard panel for the MSL devices included in device operations upgrade schedule. Click Save, to save the change, or Save and Quit to save and close the dialog window. |
The alarms are now applied the MSL devices in the container and its subcontainers.
If an alarm threshold level is disabled, or the number of days is adjusted, the alarm is adjusted to the changes at the top of the next hour.
The New Versions Available alarm must be cleared manually form the Alarms panel.
The Incomplete Pre-Upgrade Checklist alarms are cleared automatically when the pre-upgrade checklist is completed or if the upgrade plan is canceled. These alarms can also be cleared manually.
You can also receive notifications when these alarms are raised by setting up a custom filter profile and adding it to an alert profile. For more information see "Configuring Alert Profiles" and "Configuring Filter Profiles".
