Alarms Panel and Tabs
Every device dashboard and container dashboard contains an Alarms panel.
The Alarms panel updates the list of alarms every 5 minutes, or when specific traps are received from certain devices, such as a MiVoice MX-ONE, a MiVoice Business, or a router. The device sends an Alarm Notification trap when an alarm condition is detected or cleared by the device. If a new alarm arrives, the alarm list automatically shows the most recent alarms. Alarms shown in bold are those generated for the current day.
Closed alarms are displayed for only the last 30-days. For information on older alarms, use the Alarm Export query. See "Alarm Queries".
In addition to listing the alarms, the Alarms panel provides tabs and action buttons that you can use to manage alarms. Click the
icon in the top right corner of the Alarms panel to expand it and access the tabs and action buttons.
Expanding the Alarms panel displays tabs with specialized information:
The Alarm Analytics tab shows user-customized alarm information. For details, see "Alarm Analytics" and "Alarm Analytics Operations".
The Alarms tab shows an expanded view of the alarm panel with further detail on current and historical alarms. For details, see: "Alarm Management Operations".
The Event Timeline tab shows alarms on a graphic timeline.
For information about the different types of alarms displayed in the Alarms panel, see the following topics:
"Mitel Performance Analytics System Alarms"
Note: Indeterminate alarms are mainly related to device setup and configuration. During initial setup and configuration of Mitel Performance Analytics, many indeterminate alarms will be raised. To view only indeterminate alarms, deselect the other alarm types in the Alarm filter bar located above the Alarms panel. To hide them, click the Indeterminate Alarms filter button.
