Configuring Mitel Performance Analytics for Flex K8s Deployments
Before running the Device Creation Wizard, create a customer specific container and from within that container, complete the following steps:
1. From the container dashboard, select System Administration > Device Creation Wizard.
2. Select the deployment type GCP-based Devices.
3. Provide an optional prefix for the device names. This prefix is added to each device name that is created by the wizard. This is useful if you adding devices for a specific location, or if you are service provider, you can identify the devices created by customer name.
4. Select the K8s devices to include in the deployment.
5. Click Start.
6. For the new Probe, configure the following settings:

IP SLA Monitoring |
Select the Enabled check box to enable IP SLA monitoring. Enter up to four IP SLA targets, specifying either the target IP address or the FQDN. Recommended IP SLA targets include your trunk provider and other critical systems like email, CRM, or any remote network segment that might be involved in a call path. For each target, you can specify Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) settings. You can choose from Best Effort (0), High Priority (46), or a variety of Assured Forwarding (AF) or Class Selector (CS) settings. Note: If setting up SLA monitoring for SIP trunks, SIP Trunks must be configured on Mitel devices. Network Testing |
Select the Enable check box to indicate that the probe can be used as a test agent for Network Testing. Select the Shared check box to make the test agent shareable to other test agents for SIP Call tests within the container hierarchy. Notes: Network Testing is not supported for MiCloud Flex on Google Cloud environments. MSL Blade and Windows probes do not support the Network Testing functionality. |
SIP Publish Voice Quality |
Provide the following: SIP Port: This is the port that the probe uses to listen for SIP voice quality messages. The default port number is 5160. Protocol: Specify the protocol to use. Select one of UDP or TCP. NOTES: For probes added and configured prior to the Mitel Performance Analytics 3.3 release, the default port value is 5060. After updating the port number, it may take up to 15 minutes for the change to take effect. |
Maintenance Mode |
Select the Enabled check box to enable maintenance mode for the device. Enter a message to display when the device is in Maintenance Mode. |

7. For the new MiVoice Border Gateway (K8s), configure the following settings:
Name—Provide a name for the MiVoice Border Gateway (K8s).
Description—Enter a description for the MiVoice Border Gateway (K8s).
8. For the new MiVoice Business (K8s), configure the following settings:

MiXML |
Enter the following MiXML credentials: System username System password IMPORTANT: The credentials entered here must be the exact same as the credentials provided for MiVoice Business through the Mitel Integrated Configuration Wizard (ICW) that is run as part of the MiCloud Flex on Google Cloud provisioning process. If different credentials are used in the ICW, they must be updated here. |
9. For the new MiCollab (K8s), configure the following settings:
Name—Provide a name for the MiCollab (K8s).
Description—Enter a description for the MiCollab (K8s).
10. For the new MiContact Center Business (K8s), configure the following settings:
Name—Provide a name for the MiContact Center Business (K8s).
Description—Enter a description for the MiContact Center Business (K8s).
11. For the new Workforce Optimization (K8s), configure the following settings:
Name—Provide a name for the Workforce Optimization (K8s).
Description—Enter a description for the Workforce Optimization (K8s).
12. For the new K8s Cluster, configure the following settings:
Name—Provide a name for the K8s Cluster.
Description—Enter a description for the K8s Cluster.
13. Click Complete to finish the setup and save your changes.
14. On the Setup Complete page, click Copy URL to copy the Probe URL.
Important: Copy and save this URL. It must be passed on to Mitel Operations to complete the MiCloud Flex on Google Cloud setup via the Solution Manager.
Warning: Do not generate a new Probe URL unless absolutely necessary. Doing so renders the existing URL invalid and the newly generated URL must be implemented in order for the Probe to function properly again.
15. Click Return to Dashboard to exit the wizard.
The new K8s devices are created and can be viewed in the current container. You can further configure these devices as required.
